Im not exaggerating in the slightest. From the Marvin Gaye’s – Sexual Healing sample leading the way, to Led Zeppelin’s – Whole Lotta Love with Missy Misdemeanor Elliot’s – Work It chopped up like it was a duet bringing this 9 minute beast of a song to its unfortunate end, I wish it would have kept going, forever.

But this has actually reminded me of this awesome HOUR LONG mix by 2manydjs of nothing but intros. I mean a lot of them are literally 5 seconds and then its on to the next one. But its so crazy how good they are and what the power of 4 hands can have on music. turns out they have whatever the power of 426 songs divided by 60 minutes divided by 4 is… so apparently there are some discrepancies on the exact number of intros used so HERE is a list of 420 of them. either way, i dare you to try to drink for every intro u hear.

keeping with the recent blog theme of why choose, here is what ive woken up to today and havent stopped listening to. well, yes I slipped in Physical Graffiti by this great blues/rock band called Led Zeppelin but it was on a petroleum based black spinning 12inch circle so not sure if that counts.

FIRST – Toro Y Moi released a new EP called Freaking Out today. This, like the song titles of the next two songs, are not just clever names. I AM. FREAKING OUT. MAN. Ive had most of the tracks for a bit now but check it out! CLICK HERE TO LISTEN

NEXT – the latest release coming from Penguin Prisons EP Fair Warning. Today I found what is ANOTHER AWESOMELY NAMED TRACK that encompasses the entire EP. It’s called DISCO BLOODBATH MEGAMIX & love would be an understatement. This prison for penguins seems like a place a tall, thick, ginger like myself wouldnt mind being thrown in.
