HEATWAVE…

If you’re in NYC like me chances are you’re currently DYING & can’t fathom going outside. Here’s a hot track to cool you down & bring some life back into your step.  This song epitomizes the summer I’ve been having in my new city of residence.  Bring on the  feel-good electro pop!  Everything about it is disgustingly infectious (HELLO, can you hear that saxophone!) & I recommend listening to it upon waking up to ensure a proper start to your day.  Patrick Wolf is a singer/songwriter from South London & usually known for combining classical instruments with electronic sampling.  His newest release, Lupercalia, was released June 20th.  I for one am grateful that he strayed away from his usual sound in order to create this little gem.  This song transports me back to the late 80’s/early 90’s, & I never want to leave.  The cheesy 80’s synth-pop horn sections make it impossible for me not to smile, & paired with the video…PERFECTION.  Who wouldn’t want to be having a magical time on the beach with this feel good track?!  This is OFFICIALLY my song of the summer.  I want to play it on a boombox, & run down the streets dancing.
